The Jordanian Council of Ministers, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, has announced a groundbreaking decision aimed at alleviating the financial burden on citizens who own vehicles with expired registrations. The decision includes comprehensive exemptions from accumulated fines and outstanding fees.

According to the announcement, vehicles with registrations expired for more than a year will be exempt from annual acquisition fees for all previous years. Additionally, their owners will be relieved from any re-registration fees, if applicable. To benefit from these exemptions, necessary procedures must be completed by December 31.

This initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to facilitate the re-registration process for vehicles that have been out of use for extended periods. It aims to enhance road safety, promote public security, and reduce risks associated with unregistered vehicles. Furthermore, the decision reflects the government’s commitment to supporting citizens and easing the economic challenges they face.
