Mohammed bin Salman Launches Ceer’s First Electric Vehicles, the EXOBOT, With Up to 1,111 HP

Saudi electric vehicle manufacturer Ceer (CEER) has unveiled its first production vehicles under the name EXOBOT, during a global premiere held in Saudi Arabia on September 21, 2026, in the presence of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who also chairs the Public Investment Fund.

The EXOBOT is offered in two body styles, a sedan and an SUV, marking the beginning of a seven-model lineup that Ceer plans to introduce over the next five years.

The EXOBOT is part of Ceer’s strategy to establish a Saudi automotive brand capable of designing, engineering, and manufacturing vehicles locally. Production is planned at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex (CMC) in King Abdullah Economic City, within the King Salman Automotive Complex. Ceer describes the facility as the largest automotive manufacturing complex in the Middle East and one of the most technologically advanced production facilities in the region.

EXOBOT: Ceer’s First Saudi-Built Vehicles

Ceer presents the EXOBOT as its flagship debut product, with the company stating that the design of both vehicles was inspired by Saudi Arabia’s natural environment and cultural identity, while the vehicles were developed and engineered locally to suit the conditions of the Kingdom and the wider region.

The two vehicles feature a distinctive futuristic design, highlighted by what Ceer calls Shahin Wing Doors. These upward-opening doors are inspired by the movement of the peregrine falcon, or Shahin, and measure nearly three meters in length while opening within an arc of approximately 60 centimeters.

The vehicles also eliminate the traditional pillar between the front and rear seating areas while using high-strength materials to provide the required structural support.

The exterior design features a distinctive front light bar and a wedge-shaped profile. The SUV version also features two glass roof panels and large dark-glass surfaces, along with variable ground clearance depending on the selected driving mode.

Up to 1,111 HP and 0-100 km/h in 2.1 Seconds

The EXOBOT is powered by an all-electric drivetrain consisting of three electric motors and an all-wheel-drive system. It also uses torque vectoring and an active chassis designed to enhance handling and stability.

At its highest performance specification, Ceer has announced output of up to 1,111 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque.

According to the company, the sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds, while the SUV completes the same sprint in 2.4 seconds. Top speed is listed at 250 km/h for the sedan and 210 km/h for the SUV.

However, it is important to distinguish these figures from the initial EXOBOT First Edition. The launch version uses the same three-motor configuration but produces 850 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque.

The First Edition accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds for the sedan and 2.9 seconds for the SUV.

This means that the 1,111-hp figure represents the highest performance specification announced by Ceer, while the First Edition comes with lower output.

112 kWh Battery and Up to 670 km of Range

The EXOBOT uses a 112 kWh battery pack and an 800-volt electrical architecture, supporting DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes, according to Ceer.

For the First Edition, the estimated range under the NEDC testing standard reaches:

  • 670 km for the sedan
  • 560 km for the SUV

Ceer identifies these figures as estimated ranges, meaning real-world range and energy consumption may vary depending on driving conditions, temperature, speed, air-conditioning use, and other factors.

Advanced Driving Technology and a 48-Inch Display

The EXOBOT is not focused solely on performance. Ceer has equipped both vehicles with a range of digital technologies and advanced driver-assistance systems.

The cabin features a large curved digital display called Digital Horizon, stretching across the dashboard and measuring 48 inches with 8K resolution, alongside a 10.4-inch central control screen.

The vehicles also feature 3D navigation, a camera-based mirror system, and Ceer’s own voice assistant supporting both Arabic and English.

Both models also use Steer-by-Wire technology, which replaces traditional mechanical connections between the steering wheel and steering system with electronic controls. The vehicles also feature rear-wheel steering and a dual-chamber adaptive air suspension system.

The EXOBOT supports Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates, allowing Ceer to introduce software improvements and new functions without requiring a visit to a service center for every update.

Ceer also says the vehicles feature an advanced driver-assistance suite that includes hands-free driving capabilities, automatic lane changes, and highway driving assistance.

EXOBOT Sedan and SUV Dimensions

According to Ceer, the EXOBOT Sedan measures:

  • Length: 5,260 mm
  • Width: 2,102 mm
  • Height: 1,428 mm
  • Wheelbase: 3,200 mm
  • Ground clearance: 155 mm, increasing to 165 mm with the active suspension system.

The EXOBOT SUV measures:

  • Length: approximately 5.02 meters
  • Width: 2.10 meters
  • Height: approximately 1.69 meters
  • Wheelbase: 3,200 mm
  • Ground clearance: 280 mm, increasing to 300 mm with the active air suspension.

The SUV offers 402 liters of rear cargo space, according to Ceer’s currently published specifications.

First Edition Marks the Beginning

Ceer plans to launch the EXOBOT lineup with a limited First Edition, followed by the EXOBOT Plus.

The First Edition comes with exclusive equipment, including premium Nappa leather upholstery in black and red, red brake calipers, a special exterior package, dedicated color options, and a home charger with installation.

Each First Edition vehicle also carries a special numbered plaque matching its VIN.

Ceer currently states on its official website that the vehicles will be available soon, while Reuters reported that sales in Saudi Arabia are expected to begin in early 2027.

Seven Models by 2030

The EXOBOT represents more than just two vehicles. Ceer plans to build a lineup of seven models by 2030, covering small and midsize vehicles as well as different powertrain configurations.

The company’s future plans extend beyond the current EXOBOT models. Reuters has reported that the upcoming lineup could include battery-electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids, and internal-combustion vehicles, as Ceer seeks to build a product portfolio capable of addressing different markets and customer demand.

Ceer: From a 2022 Project to Its First Vehicles in 2026

The Public Investment Fund launched Ceer in November 2022 as a joint venture between the fund and Foxconn, with a technology partnership with BMW to license technologies related to electric vehicle components. Foxconn is also responsible for developing the vehicles’ electrical architecture.

Since its establishment, Ceer has expanded its local supply chain and formed partnerships with both global and Saudi companies across multiple areas.

In February 2026, Ceer announced the signing of 16 agreements worth more than SAR 3.7 billion to strengthen its local supply chain, with a target of sourcing 45% of materials and components from Saudi Arabia by 2034.

Ceer also announced in September 2026 that its workforce had grown from just 20 employees at its founding to approximately 2,300 employees, bringing together Saudi talent and international expertise.

Ceer Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City

Ceer’s vehicles will be manufactured at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex (CMC) in King Abdullah Economic City, which forms part of the King Salman Automotive Complex.

The facility includes dedicated areas for various stages of production, including metal stamping and forming, body assembly, painting, and final assembly, along with logistics facilities, warehouses, water treatment systems, and a vehicle testing track.

In January 2026, Ceer announced a collaboration with Dürr to equip its paint shop. At the time, the company said the project was progressing toward starting vehicle production in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Ceer’s Economic Targets for 2034

According to Ceer and the Public Investment Fund, the company is targeting the following by 2034:

More than SAR 30 billion in contribution to Saudi Arabia’s GDP, equivalent to approximately $8 billion.

Around SAR 80 billion in improvement to the trade balance, equivalent to approximately $21 billion.

Around 30,000 direct and indirect jobs, with Saudis targeted to occupy 80% of direct positions.

The company is also targeting a 45% local content ratio in its vehicles by 2034.

EXOBOT Opens a New Commercial Chapter for Ceer

With the unveiling of its sedan and SUV, Ceer is moving from the establishment phase of the brand and its industrial ecosystem into the launch of its first products, with the EXOBOT expected to enter the Saudi market in early 2027 according to current reports.

The new vehicles combine a three-motor electric powertrain, an 800-volt architecture, a 112 kWh battery, advanced steering and suspension technologies, and a highly digital cabin featuring large displays and over-the-air software updates.

The next step for Ceer will be expanding beyond the EXOBOT sedan and SUV toward the seven-model lineup it has announced for the coming years.
