Genesis has further expanded its high-performance automotive ambitions, solidifying its global presence by officially unveiling its latest concept vehicle, the Genesis Magma GT3. Developed in collaboration with Hyundai Motorsport, this milestone presents a bold future vision for the Korean luxury brand's upcoming line-up in global GT3 racing categories.

The launch extends beyond in-house engineering. The technical and performance details of this lineup were fine-tuned with the expertise and technical consultation of motorsport legend and former Le Mans and Formula 1 driver, Jacky Ickx, whom Genesis has officially appointed as a partner and advisor for its high-performance Magma brand.

Genesis Magma GT3 Concept Specifications and Hybrid Performance

The Genesis Magma GT3 was designed from the ground up as a fully independent engineering study rather than being based on an existing production vehicle. It has been developed strictly to meet the rigorous regulations of the FIA GT3 category.

Mechanical Performance and Horsepower

The concept car is powered by an advanced hybrid powertrain that pairs a twin-turbocharged V6 engine with a high-performance electric system. Genesis hints that this mechanical setup is capable of producing an overall output exceeding 600 horsepower, allowing it to compete fiercely within international racing standards.

Bodywork Engineering and Carbon Fiber Utilization

Engineers focused heavily on optimizing aerodynamic efficiency and body management. This is evident in the wide-body stance, a prominent front splitter, and massive air vents designed to ensure optimal thermal management under punishing track conditions.

To minimize overall weight and maximize acceleration, the exterior chassis along with substantial sections of the front splitter and the massive rear wing are crafted entirely from lightweight, ultra-rigid Carbon Fiber.

Design and Visual Identity of the Magma Brand

The vehicle shines in a striking, glossy orange paint officially dubbed "Magma Orange". Far from being a mere exterior color, it serves as the official visual identity of the newly introduced high-performance division of Genesis, mirroring the strategy of iconic performance arms like BMW's M or Mercedes' AMG.

The aggressive design details include side canards on the doors, a fixed rear wing, and a giant rear diffuser. While preserving the signature Genesis dual-line LED lighting setup, the face is augmented with four additional headlights to give the front fascia a more menacing look. The company emphasized that this project serves as a rolling laboratory to transfer track-proven technologies into future commercial production models, noting that the vehicle is still an engineering study and has not yet been greenlit for production.

Exclusive Virtual Debut in Gran Turismo 7

In an innovative marketing strategy aimed at testing the car's dynamic performance virtually before it hits real-world tracks, Genesis announced that the Magma GT3 will make its debut exclusively as a digital race car in the renowned simulation game Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation platforms, allowing gaming enthusiasts and speed fans to experience its performance digitally.

Genesis Magma GT Interior Revealed For The First Time

In another surprise for luxury sports car enthusiasts, Genesis utilized the event to reveal the interior of its Magma GT concept for the first time. The brand had previously teased audiences with the exterior design in late 2025, and this interior reveal marks a major step closer to commercial assembly lines.

The Magma GT cockpit features a two-seater layout that revives classic driving engagement by incorporating a manual transmission—a rare choice in an era dominated by modern automatic sports cars. The interior prioritizes physical buttons and tactile switchgear over complete touchscreens, featuring a minimalist infotainment screen complemented by three independent circular displays mounted on the dashboard. These sit behind a flat-bottom sports steering wheel and a traditional instrument cluster.

In terms of luxury and premium craftsmanship, quilted luxury leather wraps most cabin components, including the center console, door panels, and dashboard.
