After much anticipation by automotive enthusiasts, Mercedes-Benz officially revealed the GLC 63 Coupe for 2025 and the GLC 43 Coupe for 2024. These cars represent some of the most anticipated additions to the Mercedes-Benz lineup.
Both the 2025 GLC 63 Coupe and the 2024 GLC 43 Coupe share many advanced technologies with the standard AMG GLC models that were introduced in July. Regarding the high-performance GLC 63 S E Performance, it relies on a hybrid system that combines a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with a turbocharger, producing up to 469 horsepower, in addition to an electric motor with 201 horsepower. The combination of these power sources generates a total output of 671 horsepower and a torque of 1,019 Newton-meters when they work together. It's important to note that this immense power is available for only 10 seconds when in maximum performance mode.
As for the 2024 Mercedes AMG GLC 43 Coupe, it also utilizes a hybrid system that combines a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 416 horsepower and a small electric motor that provides an additional 13 horsepower when needed. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 9-speed AMG Speedshift transmission, and both models come with rear-wheel steering and the AMG Ride Control suspension system as part of the standard specifications.
Mercedes-AMG classifies the GLC 43 Coupe as capable of accelerating from 0 to 96 km/h in 4.7 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. As for the 2025 Mercedes GLC 63 Coupe, it achieves 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed reaching 275 km/h.
Regarding the interior design of these two coupe models, they closely resemble the standard GLC AMG model. For front-seat occupants, it would be challenging to distinguish between the two. However, rear-seat passengers will notice the difference due to the sloping roofline characteristic of the coupe SUV model.
Unfortunately, Mercedes has not yet provided any information regarding pricing or availability for these cars at the moment. It is expected that these vehicles will make a remarkable impact in the competitive automotive landscape in the coming years.
