Toyota Unveils the Next-Generation RAV4 Coming in 2026 with Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid Options

Toyota has officially announced the arrival of the all-new generation of its popular SUV, the RAV4, scheduled for launch in the first half of 2026. This new iteration will be offered in an extensive lineup of 11 different trims, featuring advanced hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains, alongside the option of front-wheel or all-wheel drive.


All hybrid versions will be powered by a 2.5-liter engine paired with the latest generation of Toyota’s hybrid systems, delivering a total output of 143 kW. Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid variant stands out as the most powerful RAV4 in the model’s history, offering 227 kW of combined power supported by a 22.7 kWh battery, enabling enhanced performance and efficiency.


With this announcement, Toyota underscores its commitment to strengthening its SUV portfolio by combining practicality, fuel efficiency, and performance. The RAV4, one of the brand’s best-selling global models, is expected to maintain its leading position in the competitive SUV segment while embracing a more sustainable path aligned with future mobility trends.
