The Traffic Department announced the implementation of a 20-dinar fine on drivers who fail to use turn signals while driving, as part of efforts to enhance road safety and reduce accidents.

The department clarified that the Traffic Law stipulates a 20-dinar penalty for drivers who neglect to use their indicators when performing essential maneuvers such as:

- Turning left or right.

- Starting or stopping.

- Overtaking on the road.

- Changing lanes.

It emphasized that the turn signal is not merely a casual notification tool, but a critical safety measure to alert and warn other drivers on the road, thereby reducing accidents caused by miscommunication or unexpected movements.

The Traffic Department also urged all drivers to strictly adhere to traffic regulations and consistently use their indicators in every maneuver, stressing that the purpose of these measures is to protect lives and safeguard the safety of all road users.
