Jordan on the International Racing Map: Engicon to Supervise Aqaba International Racetrack

Engicon has been awarded the supervision contract by the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) for the construction of the Aqaba International Racetrack, an FIA Grade 3 circuit in Aqaba, Jordan. Spanning approximately 1,150,000 square meters, the landmark project is set to place Jordan prominently on the international motorsport map, enrich Aqaba’s event calendar, and boost tourism.

The racetrack complex will feature a 3.6 km main circuit, a 1.5 km kart training track covering 22 dunums, a low-friction driving center, and extensive green areas totaling 76 dunums. Multiple parking and paddock zones are included, comprising 22 paddock stalls, 234 additional stalls within a 90-dunum paddock area, and 232 car parking spaces across two dedicated zones. The design also incorporates car vaults and approximately 90,000 square meters of paved surfaces.

Engicon’s responsibilities cover full supervision of all project components, including civil, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure. This encompasses water supply networks, stormwater and wastewater systems, lighting, control systems, generators, pumps, tanks, as well as fencing and all site boundary works.

This project represents a major step toward transforming Aqaba into a regional hub for motorsports, while ensuring world-class infrastructure and operational excellence.
