The Council of Ministers approved granting a tax exemption for cars purchased by officers of the Armed Forces and security agencies, both active and retired, holding the rank of Major and above. The exemption includes all public and private taxes, including registration and licensing fees.
This exemption is expected to directly contribute to increasing car purchases in Jordan for this category, which would stimulate the Jordanian automotive market. The decision aims to provide financial support to this group and facilitate the process of purchasing vehicles in Jordan.
The vehicles covered by the exemption include gasoline, hybrid, and electric cars, and the exemption is granted only once.
This decision goes into effect as of 29/6/2025, in accordance with the pre-established regulations.
