Ford has announced a recall of several 2024 Mustang models, including the "Dark Horse" and "GT" variants, due to an issue with the hydraulic clutch system that could pose a fire hazard. The problem is attributed to the potential for the clutch fluid to overheat, leading to leakage and possible ignition.

This recall was initiated following an incident where a Dark Horse Mustang owner's clutch pedal got stuck in the depressed position while driving. Despite repeated attempts to reset the pedal, it failed to function. Upon stopping and opening the hood, the owner discovered smoke and flames behind the clutch area.

The affected vehicles are those equipped with manual transmissions. Ford has taken steps to address this issue by recalling the impacted vehicles and replacing the faulty parts free of charge. Notifications have been sent to the owners of the affected cars to begin the repair process.

Owners are advised to contact Ford dealers to arrange for the necessary repairs as soon as possible to ensure their safety and the safety of their vehicles. For more details on the recall and the procedures to follow, owners can visit Ford's official website or contact customer service.
