Cash Payments Phased Out as Driver and Vehicle Licensing Department Fully Adopts Electronic Payments Starting Sunday, August 2

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Department (DVLD) has announced the full implementation of the electronic payment system across all financial transactions, officially ending cash acceptance at all its branches and centers nationwide, effective Sunday, August 2.
The department emphasized that this decision aligns with government modernization plans and its vision for comprehensive digital transformation, as part of ongoing efforts to streamline procedures and enhance the quality and efficiency of services provided to visitors.
Approved Electronic Payment Channels The DVLD clarified that processing financial transactions will now be restricted to officially approved e-payment options, including:
- eFAWATEERcom system
- E-Wallets
- Direct banking applications
Additional Options for Visitors To facilitate the transition for citizens and avoid any obstacles during transactions, the department noted that individuals unable to pay via mobile applications can complete their payments—in cash or electronically—through Jordan Post employees present on-site across all licensing branches in the Kingdom.
The department reaffirmed its full technical readiness after completing all necessary arrangements and technical upgrades for digital transformation to ensure smooth operations and speedy service delivery.
