Audi Group Profits Plunge 87% in Q3 2026 to €95 Million

Audi Group recorded a sharp decline in its financial performance during the third quarter of 2026, as net profit after tax fell by 87% to just €95 million, compared with €718 million in the same period of 2025. The decline came amid mounting competitive and economic pressures affecting the company's performance across several key markets.
According to the financial results published on October 30, 2026, the Group generated approximately €12.89 billion in revenue during the third quarter, down 18.5% from €15.81 billion in the third quarter of the previous year.
Deliveries across Audi's Progressive Brand Group, which includes Audi, Bentley and Lamborghini, also declined to approximately 319,225 vehicles, compared with 397,053 vehicles in the same period of 2025, representing a decrease of 19.6%.
The decline comes amid several challenges highlighted by the company, most notably weaker performance in the Chinese market, particularly for vehicles equipped with internal combustion engines. Other contributing factors include intensifying competition, increased pricing pressure in global markets, and growing competition from Chinese automakers in Europe.
Audi also explained that uncertainty surrounding developments in the Middle East and the resulting increase in energy costs, alongside US tariffs, had further affected its financial performance. Meanwhile, the accelerating transition towards electric vehicles in Europe has added to the competitive pressures and transformation costs facing the company.
Audi Lowers Its Financial Forecast for 2026
In response to these results and deteriorating market conditions, Audi revised its financial outlook for the current year, lowering its revenue forecast from a range of €58–63 billion to €55–59 billion.
The company also reduced its expected operating margin from 5–7% to 3–5%, while its forecast for net cash flow was lowered from €3–4 billion to €2.5–3.5 billion.
To address these challenges, the company confirmed that it is working to reduce costs and simplify its operations, while improving production efficiency, productivity and quality. Audi also plans to continue investing in new models and future technologies, including software, artificial intelligence and driver assistance systems.
The third-quarter results highlight the scale of the challenges facing Audi Group amid intensifying competition and slowing demand in several key markets, prompting the company to reassess its financial outlook and strengthen its efforts to maintain competitiveness in the period ahead.
