Leaked Images of Nissan Pathfinder Ahead of Official Unveiling

Earlier this year, Nissan unveiled the Chinese model of its sports utility vehicle, the Pathfinder, at the Shanghai Auto Show. The Chinese model distinguished itself with a new design for the front and rear of the vehicle. After the debut of the prototype model, new information about the design and specifications of the production model for the Chinese market has surfaced.

According to information provided by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in China, it appears that the production model of the Chinese Pathfinder will have similar dimensions to the global model, except for an increase in length by 109 mm, bringing the total length to 5,130 mm.

It is customary for some minor design changes to be made in production models to facilitate the manufacturing process and reduce the high production costs that could lead to higher car prices without benefit. However, we can say that the differences between the prototype and production model of the Pathfinder are not significant.

The Chinese Pathfinder and the global version share the same chassis, but the Chinese model features a more modern front and rear design. The production model closely resembles the previously unveiled prototype, with the exception of changes to the design of the headlights and taillights.

So far, the leaked image of the production model has not revealed the interior design, but it is expected to be similar to the prototype and the global model that has already been produced for various markets.

It has been announced that the Chinese Pathfinder will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 248 horsepower, and some models will feature four-wheel drive, as indicated by the badge displayed on the leaked images. Nissan is expected to unveil the new Pathfinder in China later this year.
