In a move reflecting its commitment to supporting the global transition towards more sustainable energy solutions, Saudi Aramco, the world-leading energy and chemicals company, announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with BYD, one of the global leaders in new energy vehicle manufacturing and battery technologies.

The agreement was signed between "Saudi Aramco Technology," a fully owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, and BYD with the goal of exploring opportunities for close collaboration in developing innovative technologies that support the future of vehicles powered by new energy sources, focusing on improving efficiency and enhancing environmental performance.

This collaboration is part of Saudi Aramco's long-term vision to accelerate the pace of innovation in sustainable transport, bringing together the advanced research and technical expertise of both companies, which will provide opportunities to develop practical solutions that meet the aspirations of the upcoming energy transition.

In this context, Mr. Ali Al-Meshari, Senior Vice President for Technical Coordination and Supervision at Saudi Aramco, stated: "Through this collaboration, we aim to support global efforts in developing low-carbon technologies that improve internal combustion engine efficiency, promote the use of innovative fuels, and provide more advanced powertrain systems.
