Engine and Performance

For the luxury variants, the Amarok Core features a single-turbo engine with 125 kW or 405 Nm of torque, coupled with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Notably, it is the only model with a manual transmission and the sole one equipped with a convertible four-wheel-drive system.

All other Amarok trucks utilize VW's permanent 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. The Life series features a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel four-cylinder engine producing 154 kW and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. The Style editions offer a powerful V6 twin-turbo diesel engine with 184 kW and 600 Nm of torque, mated to a ten-speed gearbox.
